Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
The Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper is a long standing tradition at All Saints’. Held jointly with First United Church, pancakes, bacon and sausages are served, with gluten-free options available. Drop in anytime between 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Our Shrove Tuesday evening also features a short children’s program.
Spring Plant Sale
Each May, our courtyard is home to the popular Spring Perennial Plant Sale in support of GranAid. Give your garden some spring love while supporting this worthwhile initiative.
All seniors are welcome to attend our yearly Seniors’ Luncheon, normally held in May. A Eucharist is held at 11:00 am followed by lunch at 12:00 noon.
Normally in late August, Westboro Fuse is a free, hip and exciting weekend-long street party and neighbourhood showcase, boasting interactive fun, family- friendly programming, live musical entertainment, fashion shows, and more. We invite you to stop by our church to check out our events, rest in the shade our lovely courtyard or tour our building. Volunteers are also always needed.
Each September, we host all the folks who have joined us during the past 18 months or so to a Newcomer’s Lunch immediately after the 9:30 am service. We gather in our beautiful chapel for a light lunch and a chance to get to know one another. We post a sign-up sheet at the back of the church mid-way through August.
All Saints’ Day Potluck Lunch
On or around November 1, we hold a special parish potluck celebration lunch. A slide show is presented featuring parish life over the past year.
The annual All Saints’ Village Fall Fair (Bazaar) is held each November.
It is an occasion to shop for crafts, knitting, jewellery, baking, pickles and preserves, linens, silver, used books and much more. The Snowflake Café serves a delicious lunch.
Advent Family Day
On the first Sunday of Advent, we invite children and their families to the chapel directly after the 9:30 am service to an Advent Family Day event. We have a seasonal snack and then work together on a project related to our preparation for Christmas. Such activities as cookie decorating, making of the family Advent Wreath, and creating a mural about Isaiah’s dream of peace have been done by us in the past. Each year – something different!
