DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, May 24\, Multifaith Housing Initiative (MHI) will unite with over 80 communities to raise funds to tackle homelessness and housing insecurity. All money raised will be used to directly subsidize tenants’ rents. All Saints Westboro will have a team joining the walk. If you would like to walk with us\, we will meet in Commissioner’s Park\, under the statue of the man with the hat\, at 2:30. The walk is 3 km. DESCRIPTION:Spring Fair: The GranAid Perennial Plant Sale and other activities will be held on Saturday\, May 16th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the courtyard in front of the church. \nIf you can\, please donate perennial plants that are healthy and well acclimatized (dug up this Spring from your garden). Plants can be left at the west side of the church the week before the plant sale (Monday May 11-Friday May 15). Please ensure that all plants are IN POTS AND LABELLED. \nOn the day of the sale\, volunteers are most welcome. If you would like to come and help us set up\, we will begin at around 8 am. Selling plants and chatting with fellow gardeners is great fun\, and of course it’s an excellent opportunity to shop for a few plants to add to your own garden. If you are interested in helping out with this event\, and for further information please contact Sally Baycroft. \nAll money raised from the plant sale will go to Fikelela\, the HIV/AIDS outreach and education program of the Anglican Diocese of Cape Town\, South Africa.

DESCRIPTION:Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) is a family-friendly national walk that raises funds and awareness for people experiencing homelessness\, hurt\, and hunger. Each winter\, our community gathers to walk in the cold to show solidarity with women in our city who rely on us for shelter\, safety\, and support. \nWe invite you to bundle up\, join the walk\, and help ensure every woman has a warm place to turn this winter. \nWalk with us (2 or 5 km) or donate to support Cornerstone Housing for Women. DESCRIPTION:Last November\, All Saints Westboro hosted an amazingly successful fund raiser for the Multifath Housing Initiative (MHI). Every spring\, MHI sponsors the Tulipathon. It is an event that invites its over 80 faith group communities to join together in a visible sign of solidarity as we walk together at Dow’s Lake. This year’s walk is Sunday\, May 25\, at 3:00 pm. \n2:00 pm: musical entertainment plus a special Family Fun Zone with face painting and inflatable structures\n2:30 pm: registration\n2:50 pm: ASW will meet under the sculpture of the big man\n3:00 pm: walk begins \nOnce again\, All Saints Westboro will have a team. DESCRIPTION:We will be holding a Ceilidh at All Saints’ Westboro! This will be an ambitious and audacious fundraiser to reach the target of $10\,000 to help with our deficit and also to start building back a reserve for a rainy/snowy day. \n\nThere will be dance-inspiring ceilidh music from gigs to Celtic sing-alongs.\nNot likely to have green beer but there will be festive drinks.\nFood will be prepared and served in buffet style\, catered by Lam’s Cafe and volunteers. They will start Celtic and resemble the deliciousness of our diverse All Saints’ community.\nUnique auction items and activities to build relationships and bolster laughter for the evening. One significant one will be a bottle of wine from the late Peter Ward’s wine cellar and a couple of pieces of art that we have discovered in our archives.\nWant to volunteer as a part of the organizing team?
