DESCRIPTION:We are a circle of support for all who are experiencing grief and loss\, recent or less so. it is a community to hold our stories of heartbreak and experiences. You do not have to share. This is not a therapy. It is a practice of grace when we know pain could isolate us and we are choosing to create community to process it together. \nWe meet on the third Tuesday of every month at 7 pm in Rm 5/6. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special worship service crafted by All Saints’ Westboro team and based on the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity resources. This year\, the resource was prepared by the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church\, which means we will be incorporating some elements of that prayer service into our Partnership Sunday liturgy. \nCome celebrate our unique partnership between Anglicans\, First United Church and an ELCIC Lutheran pastor on loan\, just our version of ecumenism lived out. \nWe are invited to bring savory and sweet treats to share during coffee hour. Experience the magic of community and joy! \nEarly Christians continued the Jewish custom of prayer at the time when the daylight faded and lamps were lit. Originally called Lucernarium (lamp-lighting time)\, this service is now called Vespers (evening prayer). \nAt All Saints’\, we adapted the old tradition by featuring jazz music during our vespers service. Peter Woods will be playing in January (Epiphany).

SUMMARY:Blue Christmas Service
DESCRIPTION:First United Church\, along with All Saints’\, is offering a service\, also known as a “Longest Night” service\, during the Advent season\, designed for those who find the holidays difficult due to grief\, loss\, loneliness\, or other struggles. This service provides a contemplative space for honest reflection on pain\, grief\, and sadness\, in contrast to the often celebratory public tone of the season. \nSoup for the Soul will meet for soup and conversations\, 5:30-6:30 pm. The group plans to attend the Blue Christmas service together after the meal. We wish to offer support for all who have experiencing grief and loss to join us for community and support.
