DESCRIPTION:The Meditation Group (Centering Prayer) has remained a quiet and meaningful part of our church’s spiritual life this year. The group meets every Thursday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the Holy Spirit Chapel\, providing participants with dedicated time for stillness\, prayerful awareness\, and reflection in the presence of God. Guidance is given as needed for newcomers on methods of silent prayer. \nThe welcoming and nonjudgmental atmosphere created a safe space for spiritual growth and rest\, especially for those seeking balance in busy or stressful lives. \nSessions typically included a brief introduction or scripture reading\, two periods of guided or silent meditation and one walking meditation\, and time for closing prayer. Participants expressed appreciation for the consistency of the meetings and the opportunity to deepen their faith through contemplative practice. \nJoin the group for contemplative prayers. SUMMARY:Multifaith Housing Initiative’s Tulipathon
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, May 24\, Multifaith Housing Initiative (MHI) will unite with over 80 communities to raise funds to tackle homelessness and housing insecurity. All money raised will be used to directly subsidize tenants’ rents. All Saints Westboro will have a team joining the walk. If you would like to walk with us\, we will meet in Commissioner’s Park\, under the statue of the man with the hat\, at 2:30. The walk is 3 km. DESCRIPTION:Spring Fair: The GranAid Perennial Plant Sale and other activities will be held on Saturday\, May 16th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the courtyard in front of the church. \nIf you can\, please donate perennial plants that are healthy and well acclimatized (dug up this Spring from your garden). Plants can be left at the west side of the church the week before the plant sale (Monday May 11-Friday May 15). Please ensure that all plants are IN POTS AND LABELLED. \nOn the day of the sale\, volunteers are most welcome. If you would like to come and help us set up\, we will begin at around 8 am. Selling plants and chatting with fellow gardeners is great fun\, and of course it’s an excellent opportunity to shop for a few plants to add to your own garden. If you are interested in helping out with this event\, and for further information please contact Sally Baycroft. \nAll money raised from the plant sale will go to Fikelela\, the HIV/AIDS outreach and education program of the Anglican Diocese of Cape Town\, South Africa.
