DESCRIPTION:The Meditation Group (Centering Prayer) has remained a quiet and meaningful part of our church’s spiritual life this year. The group meets every Thursday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the Holy Spirit Chapel\, providing participants with dedicated time for stillness\, prayerful awareness\, and reflection in the presence of God. Guidance is given as needed for newcomers on methods of silent prayer. \nThe welcoming and nonjudgmental atmosphere created a safe space for spiritual growth and rest\, especially for those seeking balance in busy or stressful lives. \nSessions typically included a brief introduction or scripture reading\, two periods of guided or silent meditation and one walking meditation\, and time for closing prayer. Participants expressed appreciation for the consistency of the meetings and the opportunity to deepen their faith through contemplative practice. \nJoin the group for contemplative prayers. Our time together is intentional in creating a safer space for open conversations about grief. We welcome tears\, anniversaries\, and discussing strategies for living with loss. \nThere are times when we no longer feel welcomed to speak of our loved ones who have died. DESCRIPTION:The Shop is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. \n\n\n\nAn outreach ministry of All Saints’ Westboro since just after World War II\, the New-to-You Shop has a threefold ministry: serving the community; serving the environment\, and; serving the church. \n\n\n\nIn fact\, the shop started practising the five Rs of recycling – Refuse\, Reduce\, Reuse\, Repurpose\, Recycle – long before the concept caught on with the rest of the world. You can reduce the effects of climate change by donating good-quality used clothing and household goods to the Shop. So why not drop by or offer to lend a hand? We’ll be glad to see you\, and we even give free\, unbiased fashion advice!

SUMMARY:Summer Social Swirl: First Excursion
DESCRIPTION:Our first excursion of the summer season is on Thursday\, June 18th . \nWe will meet at Pinhey’s Point historical site at 10:30 am. This lovely old family home is on the river with admission by donation. Next\, we drive a short distance to Carp where the rector of St. James’ church will welcome us to come into the church for a moment of beauty at 12:00 pm. Lunch is across the street at Alice’s Café at 12:30 pm. \nWe will arrange our own transportation\, sharing rides where possible. SUMMARY:Centering Prayer
DESCRIPTION:The Meditation Group (Centering Prayer) has remained a quiet and meaningful part of our church’s spiritual life this year. The group meets every Thursday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the Holy Spirit Chapel\, providing participants with dedicated time for stillness\, prayerful awareness\, and reflection in the presence of God. Guidance is given as needed for newcomers on methods of silent prayer. \nThe welcoming and nonjudgmental atmosphere created a safe space for spiritual growth and rest\, especially for those seeking balance in busy or stressful lives. \nSessions typically included a brief introduction or scripture reading\, two periods of guided or silent meditation and one walking meditation\, and time for closing prayer. Participants expressed appreciation for the consistency of the meetings and the opportunity to deepen their faith through contemplative practice. \nJoin the group for contemplative prayers. Doors open by 4:20 pm. Contact the Parish Office for more information.
