DESCRIPTION:The Meditation Group (Centering Prayer) has remained a quiet and meaningful part of our church’s spiritual life this year. The group meets every Thursday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the Holy Spirit Chapel\, providing participants with dedicated time for stillness\, prayerful awareness\, and reflection in the presence of God. Guidance is given as needed for newcomers on methods of silent prayer. \nThe welcoming and nonjudgmental atmosphere created a safe space for spiritual growth and rest\, especially for those seeking balance in busy or stressful lives. \nSessions typically included a brief introduction or scripture reading\, two periods of guided or silent meditation and one walking meditation\, and time for closing prayer. Participants expressed appreciation for the consistency of the meetings and the opportunity to deepen their faith through contemplative practice. \nJoin the group for contemplative prayers. DESCRIPTION:The Waste Management Working Group from the Ecological Justice Committee is helping us as we conduct our first-ever Waste Audit during November. \nDay 1 on November 6 from 5 – 9:00 pm and Day 2 on November 13 from 5 – 9:00 pm; both in Steacy Hall.\nWe’ll be sorting and weighing the church’s garbage and recycling to uncover how we can reduce waster and improve our green practices. Pizza dinner will be served. \nTo volunteer please contact the office at 613-725-9487 at least 2 days prior to the dates you’ll be attending. We’re looking for: volunteers to help with sorting and weighing; materials such as aprons\, bathroom scales (both will be returned to owners after the audit)\, rubber gloves\, unused masks\, paper towels\, clipboards and pens.

You can reduce the effects of climate change by donating good-quality used clothing and household goods to the Shop. So why not drop by or offer to lend a hand? We’ll be glad to see you\, and we even give free\, unbiased fashion advice!

DESCRIPTION:The Meditation Group (Centering Prayer) has remained a quiet and meaningful part of our church’s spiritual life this year. The group meets every Thursday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the Holy Spirit Chapel\, providing participants with dedicated time for stillness\, prayerful awareness\, and reflection in the presence of God. Guidance is given as needed for newcomers on methods of silent prayer. \nThe welcoming and nonjudgmental atmosphere created a safe space for spiritual growth and rest\, especially for those seeking balance in busy or stressful lives. \nSessions typically included a brief introduction or scripture reading\, two periods of guided or silent meditation and one walking meditation\, and time for closing prayer. Participants expressed appreciation for the consistency of the meetings and the opportunity to deepen their faith through contemplative practice. \nJoin the group for contemplative prayers.
