DESCRIPTION:The Shop is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. \n\n\n\nAn outreach ministry of All Saints’ Westboro since just after World War II\, the New-to-You Shop has a threefold ministry: serving the community; serving the environment\, and; serving the church. \n\n\n\nIn fact\, the shop started practising the five Rs of recycling – Refuse\, Reduce\, Reuse\, Repurpose\, Recycle – long before the concept caught on with the rest of the world. You can reduce the effects of climate change by donating good-quality used clothing and household goods to the Shop. So why not drop by or offer to lend a hand? We’ll be glad to see you\, and we even give free\, unbiased fashion advice!

SUMMARY:Waste Audit
DESCRIPTION:The Waste Management Working Group from the Ecological Justice Committee is helping us as we conduct our first-ever Waste Audit during November. \nDay 1 on November 6 from 5 – 9:00 pm and Day 2 on November 13 from 5 – 9:00 pm; both in Steacy Hall.\nWe’ll be sorting and weighing the church’s garbage and recycling to uncover how we can reduce waster and improve our green practices. Pizza dinner will be served. \nTo volunteer please contact the office at 613-725-9487 at least 2 days prior to the dates you’ll be attending. We’re looking for: volunteers to help with sorting and weighing; materials such as aprons\, bathroom scales (both will be returned to owners after the audit)\, rubber gloves\, unused masks\, paper towels\, clipboards and pens.
