Welsh Weekend: March 1st is St. David’s Day and the Ottawa Welsh Society is celebrating our patron saint with:
- a luncheon on Saturday at the Marconi Centre, 1026 Baseline Road at Farlane Blvd.
Time: 11:30 bar opens, 12:30 banquet - Gymanfa Ganu hymn sing on Sunday followed by a tea at Westminster Presbyterian church, on Roosevelt Ave.
Time: 3:00 pm - a movie on Monday showing at the Bytowne Cinema of the first Welsh language “talkie”, “Y Chwarelwr – The Quarryman”, with a documentary about the restoration of the 1935 film.
Time: 7:00 pm
