For six weeks we will explore and discuss some of the mostbeautiful and relevant poetry in the Bible. The “nature psalms”take us into the meaning of creation and creatures—all in relation to God and our human role in the cosmos. Remarkably, these majestic Psalms set human life and culture in the context the creation in deeply wise ways that speak to the problems and possibilities that confront humans today. Psalms 8, 19, 65, 72, 104, and 147 are on the agenda. Musical settings of the Psalms will be played to begin our sessions.
