Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m. in Steacy Hall, followed by a short conversation about the future of MwM and then the movie at 7:15 p.m. in the Chapel. If you are coming for dinner, please inform the office no later than Friday September 20th. Dinner will be pizza, fruit and ice cream. For this occasion, there will be no charge.
The movie will be The Beautiful Game (2024). The movie features Mal, the manager of England’s homeless football team, taking his players to Rome with the hope of being crowned champions of the Homeless World Cup. He brings with them a talented striker, Vinny, who could give them a real chance at winning.
“The Beautiful Game” is based on the remarkable true story of the Homeless World Cup, an annual international street football tournament, organized by advocates to end homelessness, that transcends borders and transforms lives. The tournament unites homeless individuals from over 80 nations through the universal language of the beautiful game. The 19th edition of the much-loved global football tournament will take place from Saturday 21st September – Saturday 28th September 2024 in Seoul.
