Community Conversation on topics of Anti-Racism, Racial Equity, and Inclusion

April 29, 2023 @ 9:45 am - 12:00 pm

In Steacy Hall.

Why is the United Church so White?:A Real Discussion on AntiRacism and What Welcoming Versus Belonging Really Means.

This session, held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, will be led by Bruce Tsuji, Danielle Rolfe, Dorothy Naylor, Pat Mayberry, and Brian Cornelius. It will provide a United Church/First United context for the discussion, explore the continuum of anti-racist organizations, and delve deeply into a conversation on “welcoming versus belonging.” With this information, opportunity will be created for discussion and well as discerning next steps.

Please join us for this engaging conversation. At 12:00 noon, you are invited to stay for a (soup and sandwiches) lunch. While you can attend at the last minute, if you know you plan to attend, please register at office@firstunitedchurchottawa.org.
