WORSHIP

Worship at All Saints' WestboroWhether you are exploring, questioning, switching, or returning, we welcome you.

We are a family-friendly parish and welcome children. The 9:30 am Sunday service begins with a children's story, featuring Father Chris' large collection of puppets. There is also a church school, nursery, and a children's space in the church.

Welcome
What is worship?

In worship we gather as a community to:

  • praise God and giving thanks for all we have received

  • ask for what we need

  • receive guidance for our lives

  • reflect on the needs of the world

  • celebrate Christ's redeeming sacrifice through the Eucharist

What are the services like?

  • Our style is informal, contemporary, and follows the Anglican tradition.

  • Lay people read scripture, lead prayers, assist with the Eucharist, and welcome newcomers.

  • The services are easy-to-follow.

  • The music includes traditional hymns, Taize chants, gospel and folk music. A choir leads the singing at the 9:30 am service.

  • We celebrate the liturgical seasons of the Church, beginning with Advent, followed by Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter and Pentecost.

Many ways to worship:

As well as Sunday morning worship services, we offer other opportunities to gather during the week for prayer, meditation and the Eucharist.

Music

At ASW, music is an important part of our worship.
