Westboro Youth Centre
All Saints provides educational opportunities for babies, children, teens and adults. We have a full range of programs which seek to nurture our faith and foster a community of loving and connected people.
We gather as a parish family weekly for worship and for social events such as the annual Christmas pageant, Shrove Tuesday mardi gras, the decorating of the Easter cross, and parish meals together. The children follow the seasons of the church year through Bible stories, drama, music, and art.
On Sundays, the children meet for church school at 9:30 and join the adults at the time of the Peace. Our children participate fully in communion each Sunday and our children’s and youth programs provide support and education for them as they grow into a more complete understanding of this sacrament. Our youth play an important role in our worship as servers each week, and the congregation supports young people attending age appropriate activities beyond the parish.
Adult education programs centre around Lenten studies, a women’s book discussion group, Bible studies based on the lectionary readings, and preparation classes for families seeking baptism. All Saints is host to the Ottawa Lay School of Theology on Mondays during the fall, winter, and spring terms.
Our aim is to provide our children with a strong foundation in their faith, and a keen sense of how they can help to make a difference in our world. We also value the chance to affirm our young people by providing them with strong peer relationships and models of adults who care about them. We have fun!
We are committed to the following principles:
1. We serve the whole person, nurturing mind, body and spirit.
2. We provide continuity of education from infants to adults.
3. We provide opportunities for intergenerational events.
4. We cherish our children.
A supervised Nursery is available for the 'smallest saints' Speak to a sidesperson for directions.
