Babies
Our Chapel Café is open for business as usual through-out the summer months, when babies and their caregivers will be able to stroll in for refreshments and conversation on each first and third Thursday. Our drop-in runs from 9:30 -11:30 a.m. Come and bring your friends.
Remember that we welcome babies and children of all ages to our worship.
Children
Summer Sunday School began on June 8 with the planting of tomatoes and marigolds in the church school garden plot. We are planning sessions for each Sunday in the summer, excluding Sunday, August 31.
To date, volunteers Janice Gilmartin, Cynthia Martin, Connie Stevens, Mary Hoth, Patricia Fox, and Joanne Hume have offered to spend time with our children in exploring our faith through gardening, cooking, music, dance, and art. Three cheers for our volunteers!
We are still looking for people to be with our children on the following dates: August 10, 17, and 24. Call the office and ask for or leave a message for Barbara Robertson to book your date and avoid disappointment!
Youth
We invite all parents and youth, aged 11-13 , to meet with Barbara in the chapel after the service on Sunday, June 29. We will be discussing the possible formation of a Rite 13 group for this age group.
Have a look at the Education bulletin board in the lower hall and you’ll find a picture of some of our youth on a recent canoe trip. Their next adventure is already in the early planning stages. All Saints’ youth will join the “Holy Terrors” from the cathedral on the tall ship,
“Fair Jeanne”, sailing on August 29 from Brockfille and arriving in Kingston on September 1. For details, check with Canon Bill.
If you spot a member of our youth group skulking around with a camera, s/he may be working on their Picturing God project. Through a variety of activities this summer, the kids will do some deep thinking about how they see God active in the world. Our first event is dinner and a gallery visit on Thursday, July 3.
